A Yacht Rock Wedding in Jupiter, Florida

Alison and Jon were very clear from the beginning that their surf formal wedding was going to be one heck of a dance party.

This super fun, laid back couple wanted their wedding to be understated and never fussy, but warm and inviting so that their guests could enjoy the things that they loved the most, which was enjoy a delicious and unfussy meal from a local food truck from the brides hometown and feel like they were dancing barefoot in a beach bar down the street. So we took those intentions and decided the perfect place to make that happen was at the family’s long time home in Jupiter, Florida. We built an outdoor deck in the backyard, hung loose basket lights and decked out the garage with funky florals, neon lights, and had the best yacht rock band imaginable. The guests had boat drinks, were encouraged to dress surf formal, and the couple got married underneath the limbs of an old oak tree the bride grew up playing underneath. This was truly one of the warmest and truly laid back weddings we’ve ever produced.
